WELCOME TO HMS

Haslemere Musical Society Symphony Orchestra and Chorus is one of the few joint amateur orchestral and choral societies in the country and has been part of the Haslemere music scene for over 100 years.

We normally give four concerts a season and cover a wide repertoire of orchestral and choral works with the support of our professional Music Director, Orchestra Leader and Chorus Master.

We are delighted to be able to work with not only well-known professional soloists but also offer opportunities for talented young players and singers.

Would you enjoy the challenge of learning and performing music to concert standard with a committed and welcoming group of musicians?

New members for both choir and orchestra always receive a warm welcome. All our rehearsals are open to potential new members, so why not pay us a visit.

Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7:30pm in the Haslemere Hall GU27 2AS and the first rehearsal of the 2025/26 season is on 8th September 2025 for both choir and orchestra. If you would like to come along we would love to hear from you.

We also hold a number of events in addition to our concerts throughout the season. We hold a Come & Sing afternoon in February and our popular Summer Sessions are held in June
